A website to help support an internationally
recognised charity
Hospice at Home
The challenge
Hospice at Home West Cumbria delivers high-quality palliative and end of life care to people across the region—supporting individuals and their families with compassion and dignity in the place they call home.
Established in 1987, the organisation has earned national and international recognition for its outstanding model of home-based care.
To better share their story, highlight their impact, and offer clear access to information, support, and ways to get involved, the charity needed a new website. Hotfoot was appointed to design and develop a platform that reflects their mission and deep connection to the West Cumbrian community.

strategy
Following a strategic workshop, a set of key objectives was defined to guide the development of the new Hospice at Home West Cumbria website.
The primary goals were to increase trust, engagement, and awareness, while clearly communicating the breadth of services and the real impact on individuals and families through powerful storytelling.
Success would be measured through growth in key areas, including:
- Website donations
- Newsletter sign-ups
- Social media followers
- Website traffic
- Volunteer enquiries
- Nurse bookings
- Merchandise sales
- Job applications
