The project

Onunda is on a mission to revolutionise how we think about waste—transforming sewage into clean energy and valuable nutrients through cutting-edge green technology.

We were appointed by the founders—then trading as GetGo—to explore the case for a new brand name and identity that could better reflect their bold vision and technological ambition. Our brief extended across strategy, naming, identity design, and a full suite of brand assets to position Onunda for future growth as it seeks to engage investors, industry leaders, and global stakeholders.

The strategy

Our strategic process led to the creation of a new name and a complete brand refresh—crafted to resonate with a diverse set of audiences including customers, investors, technology partners, and policymakers. The goal: to stand out in a disruptive market while staying true to the company’s bold, purpose-driven mission.

The name ‘Onunda’, drawn from the Norse word for Windermere, reflects a deep connection to nature and place—anchoring the brand in meaning and originality.

Inspired by the natural world, the Onunda identity is brought to life through a rich visual language that weaves in textures and elements from the environment—flora, fauna, water, and wildlife—creating a brand that feels both grounded and forward-looking.

The results

Onunda made its debut at the World Water-Tech Innovation Summit, where over 500 global businesses gathered to explore the future of sustainable water solutions. With its transformative technology, Onunda has the potential to eliminate nearly 1 million tons of sludge produced annually by sewage treatment in the UK—turning waste into a powerful source of clean energy, nutrients, and value.

The impact of this breakthrough hasn’t gone unnoticed. Onunda was recently honoured with the Innovation in Decarbonising Award at the prestigious WEX Global Awards 2025 in Valencia—cementing its place as a true pioneer in green innovation.
