In The Bay is one of our favourite daily reads as it features a great summary of what’s going on in business where we live and work. So it was great when In The Bay’s Josh Hammond interviewed Hotfoot’s Founder and Creative Director Charlie last week:
So who is Charlie Haywood?
“I’m the founder of Hotfoot, and it’s been 10 years since I set the company up.
“Hotfoot is a creative agency with a focus on brand, digital and marketing and we work with clients in Lancashire and dotted around the UK working in sectors such as hospitality, food and drink, tourism, retail, ecommerce, B2B and education. “My background is in design. I started work 20 years ago at a large agency in Manchester and then series of smaller design agencies in Bolton which really helped me learn the ins and outs of how an agency works.
“I moved to Lancaster 13 years ago after coming to work for an international hospitality company. This took me over to Las Vegas for 12 months setting up a design and digital department, employing and training all the new staff and was a great experience.
“I now run Hotfoot with two partners and we have a small team of specialists, so we can offer some really good strategic advice across branding, digital, PR and marketing. It means we can act as an extension of our clients’ business.”
Why establish Hotfoot?
“I wanted to set up a design company working with forward-thinking clients where we can make a real difference and help them grow.
“We have our client’s best interests at heart, we listen and the best work happens when there’s mutual trust, collaboration, and a clear understanding of their business and market place.
“The most important part of any project is the first and final 10 per cent.
“The first 10 per cent ensures the project will run smoothly from start to finish, and is about making sure we understand the outcomes the client is looking to achieve.
“The final 10 per cent ensures the client is totally happy and we always work with this in mind.”
