I had a blast speaking on the ‘Design In The Aftermath of the Pandemic’ panel at Northern Design Festival this past weekend alongside host Dr Lisa Thomas, Lecturer in Design at Lancaster University, Vincent Walden, Creative Director at Studio Walden, and Ava Sims, UX designer at Lancaster University.
We covered a lot of ground and took some great questions about what is, after all, a pretty heavy topic. I think the consensus was that we all got a taste of what a screen-based world felt like during lockdown, and while there are good things we’ve taken from that (more flexible working, greater ease doing video calls) there is no substitute to breathing the same air as the people we collaborate with, at least some of the time.
