Hotfoot Design is a multi award-winning creative digital agency based in the beautiful Grade II Listed Storey building in the centre of historic Lancaster (a couple of minutes walk from the train station, right next to Lancaster Castle) with views across the city and a café bar below our studio.
We have a roster of brilliant and dynamic clients in sectors including hospitality and leisure, food and drink, luxury retail, automotive, academia, charity and technology including Lancaster Brewery, The Dukes, Leonard Dews, Lancaster University, Dorothy’s Teas, Atkinson Vos, Design Plus Health & Beauty, Windermere Jetty and many others.
Your role will be to engage in challenging and interesting technical projects and to scope out, plan and deliver high quality solutions for our clients.
You will be bright, enthusiastic and full of ideas. You will be good at focusing on the task at hand, juggling competing priorities.
You will be able to hit the ground running and be brilliant at thinking on your feet and getting things done.
We definitely need…
- An excellent knowledge of PHP and frameworks, preferably Laravel
- Solid grounding in OOP and design patterns
- Good working knowledge of MySQL and experience in query optimisation
- Good working knowledge of Javascript and jQuery
- Good working knowledge of Git
What we’d ideally like…
- Good sysadmin skills, Linux, Apache, AWS
- Good working knowledge of JavaScript frontend frameworks like React or Vue
- Good working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 including responsive design
