Hotfoot Design, a brand and digital agency established for ten years, is seeking a skilled and passionate front end developer with a great eye for design to join our small friendly team at our lovely office in the heart of Lancaster in Lancashire.
The role
We produce high quality work for a range of clients in sectors including entertainment, fashion, finance, education, hospitality, local government, property and retail.
You will be based at our office in the heart of Lancaster and work directly with our Technical Director and Creative Director to produce outstanding work for our clients.
You will be an integral part of our team, with a desire to contribute great ideas, ability to consistently produce quality work on time, and talent for clearly communicating with both colleagues and clients.
What we definitely need…
- An excellent working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 including responsive design
- Ability to hand-code semantic and accessible markup tested on a range of devices/browsers
- Good design skills using Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
- Good knowledge of Javascript and jQuery
What we’d ideally like…
- CSS preprocessors SASS/LESS
- WordPress and PHP knowledge
- Git experience
You will be extremely knowledgable and passionate about web technology, with a range of projects you’ve produced for clients and/or in your free time that you will be proud to show us and talk us through.
At the completion of a successful three month trial this will be a permanent position with opportunities to increase the scope of your role and responsibilities.
The salary is highly competitive based on your experience and skills.

Hotfoot is based in the Storey Creative Industries Centre, a beautiful Grade II listed building housing a restaurant, cafe and bar on the ground floor.
Our spacious office on the first floor has views across the city.
Hotfoot is a fun and friendly place to work with regular opportunities to unwind with colleagues and friends at other companies in the building we share.
We work regular office hours Monday to Friday, but sometimes need to put in extra hours to get projects completed on time. We do not have a dress code.
